Steel doesn't wear out. Your old vehicle can return as new material with far less environmental cost than mining it from scratch.
India had about 10 million end‑of‑life vehicles in 2020. NITI Aayog projects nearly 23 million by 2025 and close to 50 million by 2030. What happens to them is a national question.
Every vehicle scrapped properly is one clear answer.
Put roughly half a tonne of steel back into the economy
Keep oil, coolant, brake fluid, battery, and refrigerant out of the ground
Show that you are part of India's circular economy, not outside it
Scrapping isn't just about getting rid of your old car. It is about how you choose to show up in the future India is building.
How we calculated this, so you can argue with it. We assume an Indian end-of-life car of about 800 kg with roughly 60% steel, using NITI Aayog's figures, minus processing losses. CO₂ avoided is based on the World Steel Association estimate of about 1.5 tonnes saved for every tonne of scrap steel used instead of virgin steel. This is an estimate of steelmaking emissions avoided, not your vehicle's tailpipe emissions, and it assumes the recovered scrap replaces blast-furnace steel. India does not yet have a national standard for this, so we'll publish measured facility-level numbers as our own data builds up. Read the full methodology →
There was a time the sky was simply blue, not something to check on an app. Unfit vehicle exhaust is one of the reasons that changed the sky we see today, especially in Delhi and NCR.
Steel kept being mined again and again, instead of being reused from vehicles that have already reached the end of their life.
Scrapping properly is a direct answer to both. It removes exhaust from the road and returns steel for reuse instead of new mining.
When you choose to scrap a vehicle that is no longer fit to run, you are not just closing a chapter in your life. You are helping protect the air and resources for future generations, including those who are not even born yet.

We collect from your door, route your vehicle to the right authorised facility, and send the paperwork to the correct registering authority — even if your vehicle is registered in another state.
A vehicle does not have to be scrapped in the State where it is registered. We collect from your door and route the paperwork to the correct registering authority. Facility addresses and authorisations →
