The Visionaries Behind Mariinox
Meet the leaders shaping our vision, strengthening our purpose, and driving Mariinox towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Sambhav Jain
(Co-Founder)A Warwick Business School graduate in Business Management and Consulting, Sambhav has built his career as an entrepreneur across the material value chain—trading liquidated inventory from e-commerce platforms, developing procurement and distribution networks across online and offline channels, and working hands-on across brand, retail and distribution. Five years of focused research into end-of-life vehicles and material realisation convinced him that India’s scrappage economy was expanding faster than the systems required to recover its true value. Mariinox is his answer: a recovery-led scrapping business built around what every material is actually worth.
His purpose, however, extends beyond building a successful company. Sambhav wants to transform a sector often reduced to “kabadi” into a structured, transparent and value-led industry. His vision is to bring a fragmented market under one organised ecosystem, replace operational chaos with repeatable systems, and establish enduring standards for material recovery, compliance and customer trust.
For Sambhav, success is not measured by scale alone, but by whether Mariinox is recognised for the value it creates—bringing calm to chaos, structure to fragmentation, and leaving behind a blueprint that gives future generations and new entrants a clearer, more credible path into the industry.
Vipin Tokas
(Co-Founder)At Mariinox, Vipin is building a greenfield operation to transform a traditional and largely fragmented industry into a modern, technology-led ecosystem. He is laying the foundation for the company from the ground up — designing the operating model, building the network, integrating technology and creating efficient processes that can scale with the industry. His focus is not only on making end-of-life vehicle collection and recycling more organised, transparent and efficient, but also on increasing the value realised from every vehicle while reducing waste and supporting a cleaner, greener environment. Through Mariinox, he aims to build a new benchmark for how the industry should operate in the future — creating practices, systems and technology that can become a model for a more sustainable, responsible and professionally managed industry.
Nitesh Rana
(Co-Founder)Nitesh Rana brings extensive experience in finance, accounting, business operations, and regulatory compliance. After completing his Industrial Accountancy training, he worked in consumer electronics distribution, managing accounting operations for online distribution channels, and later gained significant experience in mergers and acquisitions within the apparel industry, overseeing financial due diligence and regulatory compliance across multiple transactions.
His entrepreneurial journey also led him to pursue the launch of his own clothing brand, giving him valuable insight into the challenges of building a business from the ground up. At Mariinox, Nitesh has played a key role in developing the company's direct procurement model, obtaining the necessary licences and approvals, and establishing the legal, financial, and compliance framework that supports the company's growth and long-term vision.
